stay in the Cape Winelands

Authentic, family friendly farm

An authentic, family friendly farm stay in central Cape Winelands … that’s what we’re aiming for at Klein Eikeboom. Set on a working farm near the Riebeek Valley, between Wellington and Tulbagh, with a small number of dedicated and friendly long-term staff, we have paid particular attention to a fuss-free getaway: the farm house and cottages have been tastefully renovated and decorated with convenience in mind. At Klein Eikeboom, we’re all about relaxing and unwinding, farm-style.

While Riebeek, Wellington and Tulbagh are close enough for easy day visits, with many restaurants and wine farms worth your visit, some guests choose to spend their time with us at the farm, relaxing with a glass of wine, a good book, hiking, cycling, bird watching or fishing, or just reconnecting with the people they love.

Cycle from the farm about 6km on the R44 towards Wellington, turn at Soetendal to join the quite Bo Hermon road, pass through wheatfields and beautiful farm land back to Klein Eikeboom, distance 27km. Another option is to cycle to Hermon and then left on the Porseleinberg road to Wellington (distance 25km) turn back whenever you like and stop for breakfast on your way back at the Du Vlei farm stall from the farm.
